The Triple Medication

“Praise be to the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ! In his great mercy he has given us new birth into a living hope through the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead, and into an inheritance that can never perish, spoil or fade—kept in heaven for you, who through faith are shielded by God's power until the coming of the salvation that is ready to be revealed in the last time” (1Peter 1:3-5).

As believers we have sufferings, pains and troubles, the same as sinners “Not only that, but we also who have the firstfruits of the Spirit, even we ourselves groan within ourselves, eagerly waiting for the adoption, the redemption of our body” (Romans 8:23). God has not promised us a life without pains or sufferings, but He promised that the believer are different in this matter, because of their hope.  Therefore our certainty is that “Yet in all these things we are more than conquerors through Him who loved us” (Romans 8:37).  What is the believers hope during his sufferings and pain?  And what is the secret behind his strength in such hard times?

There are three Christian blessings, without them the pains of life are unbearable:
First:  Birth from GodHe has given us new birth into a living hope through the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead
Second: Shield from GodShielded by God's power
Third: Salvation from GodThe salvation that is ready to be revealed in the last time

No one can enjoy Peace without enjoying the birth from God; and even all the other medications will lose its efficiency if not preceded first by this medicine. When we are born by God, He gives as a new nature that can tolerate pain and sufferings, through its capability to communicate with God. For God is not the bumptious far God, He is our father.  We might not know the reason behind our suffering and when it will end, but our certainty that God is our father makes us bear our pains and sufferings.

When we become sons of God, the evil and sufferings will not disappear from our lives, but we will enjoy something else that protects us against the evilness of this present world; it is the shield of God.  We are certain that we are not alone, and that satan doesn’t has the authority to do what ever he likes to us; he can’t do anything unless he gets the permission from God.  Thus how could someone who doesn’t trust in the Divine protection amid difficulties of life enjoys pace?!

Also without the Hope of God’s salvation, could anybody enjoys peace, even if he is born of God and is certain of the Divine Protection?! The bible says “If in this life only we have hope in Christ, we are of all men the most pitiable.” (1Corinthians 15:19)  This hope puts an end to our sufferings, and thus we will not suffer forever.  What makes us bear our pains and sufferings is our trust in the approaching end to all our sufferings.  Our salvation is not complete and will not be completed, until God’s second coming to take us to be with Him.  Yes there is an end to our sufferings, but there is also indemnification, and there is what is greater, which is an award to everyone who thankfully accepted his sufferings with patience.

It’s a triple blend; Born of God which is the treatment of the past; Protection of God which is the treatment of the present; Salvation of God which is the treatment of the future.
